Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin stayed on the moon a total of 21 hours, 36 minutes and 21 seconds. During their brief stay, they collected 22 kilos of lunar rock and soil to bring back to earth. The moon itself is really one large stone weighing in at 81 quintillion tons, as writer Guy Murchie said, passing "over our heads at better than a thousand miles an hour." Can you imagine how much soup could be made from that much stone?
