It is one of the most anxiety-provoking questions we can ever ask of another person. Something compels us to shatter the bliss we have experienced after falling in love. We really don't want to hear the answer, but we need to hear it in order for the relationship to progress to the next stage.
"How many did you love before me?"
That's the question. We can't help but wonder if there is someone else who haunts our new love's dreams and memories. Barry White had no problems proclaiming up front, "You're The First, The Last, My Everything", but that was really only a great lyric for a love song. In real life, the answer may not roll off the tongue as readily. Some of us are content to bury our past when we set out to begin again. For others, it's not so easy. For some reason, they want to hear all the details before they give their hearts over completely. The answer could end the relationship right there, or it could propel the budding love affair to new heights. No wonder we become anxious when we find ourselves confronted with that question.
The short film on this page features a most thought-provoking answer. The film is called The Last.
